Gaurab worked for Accenture in Mumbai (India) location as Associate Manager during 2007 - 2012. During his tenure in Accenture he made following contribution.
Project:
Gaurab worked on Application Development and Management program (development and 24x7 production support) of IT enterprise system that supports world wide natural resources business of world's largest natural resources provider BHP Billiton.
Role:
As Problem Manager, Gaurab was heavily involved in cross functional interaction with Incident Management Team, application management teams, vendors, client and end-users spread across the globe - Americas, Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA), Asia and Australia; delivered Post Incident Review (PIR), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Incident Trend Analysis; driven end-to-end Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) program to stabilize the system.
Achievement:
System has been stabilized in around two years time frame; incident influx was reduced by 50%.
 
Project:
Gaurab also worked on application development and management (maintenance / enhancement) of back-office system of trading platform that supports world wide derivatives trading business of JP Morgan Chase (JPMC). This system takes care of post-trade Straight Through Processing (STP) for clearing and settlement of various derivative products of JPMC.
Technical framework of the system was built on combination of process-driven and publish-subscribe / event-broker architectures; technologies used - C/C++/Unix, Shell, Perl, VC++, Java/J2EE, Tomcat, WebLogic, MQ Series, Sybase / T-SQL and Persistence.
Role:
As Application Architect / Manager, Gaurab headed application development and management (development, maintenance and enhancement) of the technical framework of the back-office system. He delivered quarterly releases of the framework by taking care of all aspects of project management and technical leadership including hands-on architecture, design and development following Agile/Scrum.
Gaurab studied the framework; analyzed requirement of client; taken architectural / design decisions and developed / enhanced the framework - daemon processes, inter process communication (IPC / messaging), universal gateway - that serves as gateway for front-office risk management system to get into back-office system, framework defect resolution system, reference data, client services portal, operations portal, framework performance reporting and framework monitoring system.
 
Gaurab closely interacted with business components – front office trade / order capture, middle office trade execution and recording system, back office clearing / settlement and risk management system.
Achievement:
JP Morgan Chase (Client) Development Manager appreciated Gaurab's leadership skill as robust in handling any kind of challenges in managing the derivatives trading platform.
